Bert's Bites Mini Apple Crisp's

When the air turns crisp and cool, my baking goes into overdrive. Nothing says fall more like a nice warm apple crisp, especially when Bert's Bites is involved! I love this recipe which can be made into perfectly sized mini jars, the best for sharing over the holidays. Try our recipe!

Bert's Bites Mini Apple Crisp's

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 cup Bert's Bites bits (crumbles from bottom of the bag)

2 apples, peeled and chopped 

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 tablespoon lemon juice

 

  • Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.  Butter or spray ramekins or jars with non-stick cooking spray.  Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, add chopped apples, granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and lemon juice.  Stir to combine, then transfer to prepared baking dishes.
  • Melt butter and pour over Bert's Bites bits to make topping. 
  • Spread topping over apples in baking dish, and gently pat to even it out.  Bake 40 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
